FarmFest 2024
July 26 & 27
Early bird weekend passes available starting 9am, Monday, February 5
We are super excited to announce the lineup for FarmFest 2024, our solar powered celebration of music and community. Mark your calendars for July 26-28, and plan to get your tickets starting Monday, February 5 at 9am. Read on for the details.
Who’s Playing?
This year’s lineup is a diverse mix of first-time performers and FarmFest favorites. We are stoked to welcome Colorado-based band The Sweet Lillies, whose totally original sound has been described as “like Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss on a cross-country road trip with the adventurous soul of John Hartford riding shotgun.” Known for their high energy live performances, we are also pleased to welcome Portland jamgrass favorites Band of Comerados – get ready to boogie! Seattle based singer songwriter Jenner Fox also makes his FarmFest debut. One critic praised Jenner by writing that he “combines the lyricism of Joni Mitchell with the commentary of Neil Young to represent the next generation of singer songwriters.” Hailing from Bend, Oregon, the Alicia Viani Band will be bringing their jazzy-funky eclectic folk sounds to Olympia for the first time – get ready to be moved, and to discover a new favorite.
We are equally excited to welcome back some of our favorite regional performers, who we are delighted to call friends. It wouldn’t be FarmFest without our buddy Pete Kartsounes, whose virtuoso guitar, powerful lyrics and soulful voice is always a highlight. Those of you who were here last year know that Megan Alder and the Woods got everyone up and dancing, and we can’t wait for the magic to happen again. From Bend, Oregon Honey Don’t are bringing back their folk, bluegrass, old-time, swing and country-influenced tunes that make you want to dance, sing along and get drawn into their stories. Port Angeles based duo Deadwood Revival is coming back to the farm, bringing their sweet harmonies and cheerful energy that just plain make you feel good. Local favorites the Oly Mountain Boys will take the stage with their traditional bluegrass tunes and original compositions, this year with a new lineup of pickers. Rounding things out are the newly expanded The Kitchen Sink Experience with their toe-tapping Americana mix of original tunes and genre-bending covers, Alex Carlson’s new trio Swinging Strings, whose unique jazz bridges the gap between old time and Bebop, and indie-Americana rooted locals Standing on Stones.
How do I get tickets?
Early bird weekend passes will be available starting 9am, Monday February 5th. FarmFest is an intimate event with a fixed number of tickets that always sells out well in advance, so act early to make sure you don’t miss the fun. Once again, we will be offering a small number of camping passes at no cost, but when they are gone, they are gone. We are also trying a couple of new things this year. First, we will have a small number of deeply discounted volunteer tickets available – $25 plus 4 hours of work gets you full access for the weekend. Finally, while a portion of every ticket sold will go to the Community Farm Land Trust (CFLT), you will now also have the option to donate directly to CFLT to help them preserve farmland in Thurston County: no farmland, no farmers – no farmers, no food.
All ticket types will be available 9am February 5th at https://farmfest.ticketbud.com/farmfest-2024
We can’t wait to see you all in July!
